it just felt so different.
yeah sure, i do laugh a lot. but looking back at the official sembreak day, friday, after waiting for the philo orals grades with tiff...eventually going to cello's with her to share donuts and quality time and lots and lots of laughter, was sheer bliss.
maybe it was because the night was chilly (my favorite weather), or that we both got a good grade for the orals...or maybe because it was officially sembreak for us and we cant share it yet with anybody but ourselves. we didnt have a camera for that day (and, knowing us, THAT is a major loss, hehe!) but we had the lightest, most relaxed conversation since the beginning of this sem. no heartaches, no work-related issues, no heavy plots or twisted scenarios. we were just laughing at our weird predictions of our future.
same thing happened last monday with my dudes. my roomie's CS group still had to hurdle one final defense that afternoon, after which we had agreed to go to max brenner's (upon abbie's prodding) to get a taste of their chocolates. we had fun beyond the chocolate. not the stress-relieving, noisy, scream-and-make-noise-till-you-drop sort of fun. (that's reserved for thursday & friday, haha!) we were just enjoying the company, the soft lighting, the good food, and even the semi-bald men who were serving us. it felt good to joke around with friends, laughing out loud and knowing fully well that we do not have any kind of school work to go back to. it was not the usual work breaks that we have when we eat out in good old katips.
it was refreshing to see my friends with their eyes twinkling. hearing their heartfelt laughter. feeling their energetic and happy vibes...and sharing moments of indescribable peace. thank god for camera phones...the camera-phile in me just couldn't resist. :)

and yeah, we also predicted our future while waiting of that 30mins-to-bake dessert whose name i cant even remember. so are these the symptoms of the so-called Seniors' Syndrome? hmmm?
well for the record, max brenner do have delicious chocolates...from drinks to food. we all agreed to return. ah...given that we will only go there for dessert. :) :) go figure.
**im feeling unusually light and contented. laughter has this way of making me feel that the world is perfect. looking forward to sharing more laughter with all of you. :p
