:: fate has this weird way of hitting people with realities. hehe. i was buying food the other day when i saw a familiar face...turned out to be cindy, one of my gradeschool classmates/busmates. it would've been really just a simple encounter but the fact that she's now my neighbor makes it very...surreal. :) never had classmates as neighbors here in the suburbs, you see. :)
:: seeing her again made me look back to my gradeschool memories with her, although many things seem to be so distant and fuzzy already. but i do remember getting into a fight with her in the bus because she refused to be the evil stepsister in our cinderella game. dapat daw siya si cinderella kasi "cindy" and pangalan niya. o diba bibilib ka sa reasoning! the kiddie argument went on to something like "isusumbong kita sa lola ko" and "susugurin ka ng lola ko" threats...which i never got to see since i was the first to be dropped off in the binangonan route. :) after that, we got into minor things such as who's the better agawan base player, who can eat faster, and other things that seemed to be so big back then and so trivial (and funny) now.
:: they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. pero nakakairita lang talaga ang mga nanggagaya. tapos sasabihin pang "kanila talaga" yun. panget! hahahaha!!!
:: i got into another injury with our cats. yesterday i was teasing kulit (her name) by flicking her ears and poking her nose. i guess she's had enough after around 15 minutes of it so she bit on my finger the moment it came near her face. wehehehe. then, the other cat likot saw us and probably thought that i was feeding her sister, so she also bit my previously bitten finger. :) haay, these cats. they climb up the screen doors, they ruin the plants, they bite my finger...but i cant help but love them. :)
:: ive been making my presence felt (simply nagpaparamdam in the native tongue) in the telecom world of SMS; forwarding messages, jokes, quotes...basically abusing Globe's Unlimitxt service. hehe. to you Globe guys (aka friends) who've been wanting to strangle me for the amount of SMS that you receive from me everyday...go ahead. :) ill still SMS you anyway. :) :)
:: last saturday i felt like one of the characters in the movie the day after tomorrow. i was in the mall with my mom and bro when the clouds opened their floodgates. my ever-reliable girlscout mother forgot to bring her handy-dandy umbrella so we had to wait for the rain to stop. after 1.5 hours we were still stuck so i persuaded her to buy a cheap raincoat for me to use to go into the rain, get the car, and pick them up. pumayag naman. armed with the translucent raincoat, i went out of the mall. everything was fine until i felt the water reaching up to my mid-calves. the water was getting higher as i went on further (uy rhyming!) and when i reached the row where we parked, the water was up to my knees! i didn't want to walk in that murk so i climbed up this metal rod (the thing that's used in parking lots to prevent collision of the two rows of cars) and hung on to the parked cars for balance until i reached ours. whoo hooo! 1 hour of driving with dangerously itchy legs after, we arrived home with no signs of leptos pyrosis whatsover :) lesson learned: park in covered areas when there is threat of rain. :)
:: yesterday, ASAP gave ate shawie (ahaha, feeling close!) a tribute to her singing career. The Champions sang her hit songs, and though im not really a fan of ate shawie the singer (i was more of ate shawie the actress), i couldn't help but be teary-eyed as they were singing:
Mr. DJ (mister dj can i make a request...pwede ba yung love song ko?);
Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas (Kahit na ilang tinik ay kaya tapakan kung yan ang paraan upang landas mo'y masundan...Kahit ilang dagat ang dapat tawirin higit pa riyan ang aking gagawin...); and
Maging Sino Ka Man (Mali man ang ikaw ay ibigin ko, ako'y isang bulag na umiibig sa 'yo...at kahit ano pa ang iyong nakaraan, mamahalin kita maging sino ka man...)
i even texted kris and found out that we were watching the same thing and experiencing the same teary-eyed feeling. IISA KA LANG TALAGA MEGASTAR SHARON CUNETA!!! hahahaha :)
