in the tradition of a birthday post, here goes :-)
GRACIAS to everyone who made it special by their greetings...you know who you are.
and to the ones who made it EXTRA SPECIAL -- shout out to Rina, Kris, and Abbie, Elle, and Jade...words are not enough.

this is the day when i realize just how much each and every experience shapes me into the person that i am. i do thank my family, friends, colleagues...and all the people i get to interact with everyday for all the good and heart warming memories. :)
but i also need to thank those who have caused me pain, anger, hopelessness, and frustations. if not for them and their conscious/unconscious acts of causing grief, i don't think i will learn many of life's lessons --- the hard way.
thank you for making me feel the burning passion, the unexpected trauma, and the sheer surprise of being duped. thank you for putting me in situations where i had to think fast, to react irrationally, to doubt myself and the sincerity of people. you have certainly made me see who my true friends are. you made me stretch myself and my emotions, making me learn that i am capable of things that i was not aware of before. you gave me a chance to reconsider my options and to evaluate the things that matter to me.
23 years ago i was a bloody crying baby who knew nothing of the world she just got into. now i know that despite all the injustice that engulfs the whole world, there exists a slice of nirvana. :-) thanks for making this day a memorable one. ;p
